A portfolio that feels like opening a filing cabinet
Folderfolio is a premium one-page Astro theme built around a physical office metaphor: folder tabs, lined notepad insights, pencil annotations, and an archive binder for case files. It suits creatives who want warmth and tactility instead of another minimalist dark grid.
The sticky archive showcase pairs filing drawer labels on the left with scrolling case files on the right — a layout pattern you will not find in generic portfolio templates.
What is included
Folderfolio includes a one-page homepage with hero, work archive, process, notes, testimonials, and contact sections, plus a styleguide and custom 404 page. Hash navigation links to sections like #work.
Content lives in src/data/ — site, profile, navigation, projects, notes, process, testimonials, and contact. Lined notepad insights come from notes.ts.
Pencil annotations and folder tabs
Motion draws scroll-triggered SVG annotations — highlights, underlines, checkmarks, and arrows — as visitors move through the page. Folder-tab navigation uses z-index layering and shadows to mimic physical tabs. The effect is playful but readable.
Built on a lightweight Astro stack
Folderfolio is built with Astro 6.4, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4, and Motion. Images optimize to AVIF and WebP at build time. The README targets Lighthouse scores of 100.
There is no CMS, database, or backend. Node >= 22.12.0 is recommended.
Customization workflow
Edit tab colors in src/data/navigation.ts using colorClass and borderColorClass. Add project images to src/assets/images/ and reference them in projects.ts. Replace demo notes, testimonials, and contact details with real buyer content before publishing.
