A craft-first portfolio for builders who ship
Launchfolio is a premium Astro theme for freelancers, solo founders, and indie builders who want a credible personal brand without wrestling a CMS. One config file controls navigation, services, testimonials, SEO defaults, and theme presets — so rebranding stays fast.
The design is clean and developer-friendly: Inter and JetBrains Mono, subtle motion, and a layout that prioritizes readability and project credibility over decorative chrome.
What is included
Launchfolio includes home, about, uses, contact, style guide, projects index and detail, blog index and detail with pagination, privacy, RSS, and a custom 404 page.
Projects live in src/content/projects/. Blog posts are in src/content/blog/. Almost everything else — nav, services, testimonials, branding — is controlled from src/config/site.ts.
Dark/light mode and color presets
Launchfolio ships with dark and light mode and five accent presets: indigo, emerald, rose, amber, and slate. Switch presets in the config file and preview the result on the style guide route. Theme loading avoids flash on first paint.
Built on a static-first Astro stack
Launchfolio is built with Astro 6, Tailwind CSS v3, TypeScript, MDX, Motion, Lucide Astro icons, and Fontsource self-hosted fonts. JSON-LD covers Person, WebSite, BlogPosting, and CreativeWork schemas. Images go through Astro’s pipeline with WebP output and responsive sizes.
The README targets Lighthouse scores of 95+. There is no required CMS, database, or backend.
Customization workflow
Update src/config/site.ts for branding and navigation. Add projects and blog posts as content files. Swap images through the Astro image pipeline. Replace demo testimonials, services, and bio copy with real buyer content before publishing.
