NovaShowcase is a premium Astro 7 theme for agencies and studios that want scroll-linked motion, kinetic typography, and case-study storytelling at a level most portfolio templates never reach. Fifteen homepage sections — including a kinetic wheel, horizontal reel, upflow gallery, focus-slice carousel, and wavy ticker — create a Spectral Noir aesthetic with deep void palettes and nova gradients.

The theme is motion-heavy but static at its core: no React runtime ships to the browser for the main experience.

NovaShowcase includes home, work index and detail, studio, services, contact, blog index and detail, privacy, terms, cookies, legal, RSS, and a custom 404 page.

Case studies are Markdown files in src/content/work/ with Zod-validated frontmatter. Blog posts live in src/content/blog/. Services, team, timeline, testimonials, and clients are centralized in src/data/.

Motion, cursor, and accessibility

The homepage ships with a preloader, custom cursor, masked split-text reveals, magnetic buttons, sticky card stacks, and gravity particles. Lenis powers smooth scroll. Motion handles scroll-linked transforms.

prefers-reduced-motion, skip links, keyboard focus states, and inert overlays are built in. Playwright E2E tests cover overflow, visibility, accessibility, and screenshot regression.

Built on Astro 7 with self-hosted assets

NovaShowcase uses Astro 7, TypeScript in strict mode, Tailwind CSS v4, Motion, Lenis, Zod, Fontsource fonts (Outfit, Plus Jakarta Sans, JetBrains Mono), sitemap, and RSS. Fonts and SVG artwork are self-hosted — no stock CDN dependencies.

Node >= 22.12.0 is required. Connect your own contact form handler before production launch.

Customization workflow

Adjust color tokens in src/styles/global.css under @theme. Replace case studies, blog posts, team members, and client logos with real buyer content. Update site metadata in the central config. The data folder keeps rebranding predictable across services, timeline, and testimonials.
