A cartoon portfolio with serious craft behind the playfulness
Toonfolio is a premium one-page Astro theme for illustrators and character designers who need a portfolio as expressive as their work. Thick comic outlines, sticker tags, speech bubbles, and a paper-cream background with bubblegum-pink and sunny-yellow accents create an aesthetic that generic dark templates cannot replicate.
Everything lives on one scrollable page — ideal for freelancers who want to launch fast and iterate on copy rather than site architecture.
What is included
Toonfolio includes a one-page homepage with bento grid hero, about, projects, services, stats, testimonials, and contact sections, plus a styleguide and a sketchbook-style 404 page with a confused mascot SVG.
All content is stored in src/data/ — site settings, profile, projects, services, stats, testimonials, contact, and navigation. Project storybook modals reveal case-study details without additional routes.
Anime.js animation with accessibility
Anime.js powers elastic staggers, pop-in doodles, and character bounces across the page. The styleguide includes live animation tests so buyers can preview motion behavior before customizing. prefers-reduced-motion is supported for visitors who need a calmer experience.
Built on a lightweight Astro stack
Toonfolio is built with Astro 6.4, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4, and Anime.js. JSON-LD Person schema ships out of the box. Images are optimized to AVIF and WebP during build.
There is no CMS, database, or backend. High contrast and keyboard focus states are built into the component system.
Customization workflow
Edit projects in src/data/projects.ts including modal detail content. Adjust the color palette in @theme inside src/styles/global.css. Replace demo profile, stats, testimonials, and contact details with real buyer content before publishing.
