1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Noel Dario Andres – Digital Solutions (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when merchants install and use our Shopify apps (“the App”), including AI Survey, in connection with their Shopify-powered stores.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
When you install or use the App, we may collect the following information:
- Store information: Store name, store URL, email address, and country.
- Shopify data access: Products, variants, discounts, and order information, as authorized through Shopify’s API permissions.
- App usage data: Configuration settings, logs, and interactions necessary to provide the App’s functionality.
- Survey & Feedback Data: Content submitted by your customers via the App’s survey blocks (e.g., post-purchase surveys, checkout blocks, theme sections), including text responses, ratings, Net Promoter Scores (NPS), and optionally provided email addresses.
- Customer data (limited): Basic customer details (such as email or order ID) are processed only to link survey responses to orders or to enable specific features (e.g., auto-tagging based on feedback). We do not collect sensitive personal data beyond what is necessary.
3. How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and operate the App’s functionality (e.g., displaying surveys and saving responses).
- AI Analysis: Process text and data using Artificial Intelligence to generate summaries, sentiment analysis, and strategic suggestions for the merchant.
- Customize and improve the merchant’s experience.
- Offer customer support and resolve issues.
- Maintain compliance with Shopify’s Partner Program requirements.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties.
4. Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Third-Party Processing
The App utilizes third-party Artificial Intelligence services (specifically OpenAI) to provide advanced features such as sentiment analysis, feedback summarization, and reply suggestions.
- Data Transmission: To perform these functions, specific data (e.g., survey questions and anonymized customer responses) is transmitted to OpenAI’s API for processing.
- No Training on Data: Data sent via the API is not used by OpenAI to train their models, in accordance with their enterprise privacy policies.
5. Sharing of Information
We may share information only in these cases:
- With Shopify, as required to operate within the Shopify ecosystem.
- With Service Providers who help us maintain the App (e.g., hosting, database storage).
- With AI Providers (OpenAI), solely for the purpose of generating analysis and content as described in Section 4.
- To comply with legal obligations (e.g., lawful requests by authorities).
6. AI Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The App provides insights, summaries, and suggestions generated by Artificial Intelligence.
- Accuracy: AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading ("hallucinations").
- No Professional Advice: Suggestions made by the App (e.g., regarding pricing, strategy, or customer replies) are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional financial, legal, or business advice.
- Merchant Responsibility: You acknowledge that you are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated insights and drafts before taking action or sending communications to your customers. We are not liable for any business losses, damages, or misunderstandings resulting from reliance on AI outputs.
7. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the App and fulfill the purposes described above. If a merchant uninstalls the App, we will delete or anonymize their store-related data within 30 days.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
9. Your Rights
Merchants and their customers may:
- Request access to the data we store.
- Request corrections or deletions of data.
- Contact us for any privacy-related questions.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will always be available within the App or on our website, and the “Last updated” date will be revised.
